Absent Ground is a rock-n-roll country cover band hailing from the small town of Greenup, Illinois. Our team consists of 5 young men born and raised in central Illinois. We come from different backgrounds and are united by the same big dream. We all love music, but what we love more is the brotherhood we share and giving back to our hometown communities.

Starting from humble open mic nights and garage shows, Absent Ground has rapidly and proudly become a hit local phenomenon—surging into some of the best and biggest venues in our area and beyond. We’ve opened for Nashville star Jake Maurer at the Coles County Fair, we’re returning performers at the Warren James Winery in Mattoon, we’ve been heard as far as Bloomington, Indiana and Stonington, Illinois, and we’re Nashville-bound.

We’ve brought the thunder for all kinds of events, such as restaurants, bars, weddings, benefits/fundraisers, worship events, honky-tonk dances, and straight-up good old-fashioned parties!
